Twitter made it easier to get verified

Ever dream of having that blue check mark right beside your Twitter profile? Well, you’ll get that soon if you want to.

The company will soon have an official way for every users to request for their account to be verified through an online application. This is the first time Twitter has implemented a process for everyone to request that cool badge.

As of now, the new application process is beginning to roll out to the users in the United States and it will soon be available globally in the next few days. Also, the actual requirements are still the same, they just added a process accessible to everyone. Twitter stated:

“Typically this includes accounts maintained by public figures and organizations in music, TV, film, fashion, government, politics, religion, journalism, media, sports, business, and other key interest areas.”

Twitter also has a new support page that details the process and the account requirements if you need more details for that. They noted that every accounts who wants to be verified must provide a confirmed phone number, an email address, birthday, website, bio and a profile photo that “reflects the person, the corporation’s branding, or the company’s branding.”
