Remember the Note 7? It was one of the best smartphones last year. It blew everyone, but it also blew itself up. But that doesn’t mean they can’t fix it anymore right?

In a press release, Samsung announced its plans to recycle all returned Note 7 devices into fully functioning “refurbished phones or rental phones where applicable.” To avoid another string of explosions, Samsung will coordinate this in “consultations with regulatory authorities and carriers.”

They also added that “components such as semiconductors and camera modules shall be detached by companies specializing in such services nd used for test sample production purpose.”

Samsung did not yet disclose on the exact date they will begin selling refurbished Note 7 phones, so don’t get excited yet.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also expected to unveil their new Galaxy S8 later this week on March 29.
