Following a 15-second teaser from last week, the first trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s much-anticipated spy sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, has finally dropped. It follows on the promise that the new film, which comes out later this year, is nothing if not “a proper spy movie”. And if the freshly-released trailer is any indication, The Golden Circle looks like proper spy movie fun.
Watch the trailer, in full, here:
The film’s synopsis reads: “With their headquarters destroyed and the world held hostage, members of Kingsman find new allies when they discover a spy organization in the United States known as Statesman. In an adventure that tests their strength and wits, the elite secret agents from both sides of the pond band together to battle a ruthless enemy and save the day, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy.”
The film stars Taron Egerton, Jeff Daniels, Channing Tatum, and Halle Berry. Also, if you didn’t call it in the first film, Colin Firth is back, in the flesh, eyepatch and all.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens in theaters September 22.
