Bye, Instagram mobile app.

[social_warfare buttons=”Facebook, Twitter”]

You no longer need the Instagram mobile app to upload photos. Instagram is now rolling out the ability to upload photos through its mobile website. But there’re are some features you can’t access — you can’t upload videos, add filters, upload IG stories, or send a direct message. And photo editing is somewhat limited to rotation and multiple crops. Not that we need it right? We tend to edit our photos in third-party apps like VSCO and Snapseed.

A new and improved Explore page is also available in the mobile website for a an enhanced experience. Previously, Instagram’s mobile website only allows you to view the notification and feed, but now it’s slowly blurring the lines on what the mobile website and app can do.

It’s good and all, but all we want is the ability for us to upload our photos through the desktop version of Instagram. Please, make it happen too.
