The 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards just concluded. Adam Devine was host. And past Get Out not winning Movie Of The Year, it’s pretty much a hit.

Beauty And The Beast, of all films, won the Movie of The Year Award. And strong female characters aside, that film is not even very good. Emma Watson, the angel that she is, had to of course win and make a speech. She said: “To me, [the lack of gender division] indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself into someone else’s shoes, and that doesn’t need to be separated into categories.” So maybe it’s not all that bad.

And it’s not like Get Out is left empty-handed, either. Daniel Kaluya won a “Golden Popcorn” for his performance in that film. Millie Bobbie Brown of Stranger Things fame won Best Actor in a Show.
