Hey, Mac users! Ready for an upgrade in your boring white desktop computer?
Meet the new iMac Pro. It’s the much-awaited upgrade to the iMac line we’ve all been drilling Apple to deliver for many years now. It’s finally here, and it’s drop-dead gorgeous.
The new iMac Pro has a fresh coat of paint over it. It boasts a Space Grey finish that is, in my opinion, to die for. Gone are the days of the unassuming although undoubtedly iconic design of the previous Macs. Grey, to say the least, is the new black.
The new iMac Pro is designed for people who are already using iMacs but want more. Squeezed in its sleek hardware are to die for specs, including an up to 18-core processor configuration which would come equipped with 4TB of SSD memory and backed by 128GB of ECC memory. The display will be able to support up to 44 million pixels. Here are the full specs.
A Great Promise
“We reengineered the whole system and designed an entirely new thermal architecture to pack extraordinary performance into the elegant, quiet iMac enclosure our customers love — iMac Pro is a huge step forward and there’s never been anything like it,”tells John Ternus, Apple’s vice president of Hardware Engineering.
All of these, however, comes with a price. The new iMac Pro is obviously engineered for professionals in mind, so you can expect this to reflect in terms of pricing.
Apple is putting the device out on the market in December with an eye-gouging starting price tag of 4,999USD. No word yet, re: Philippine release date
