After its announcement, Apple’s iOS 11 is finally here for everyone to try. If you’re willing to encounter some bugs and glitches, now is your chance to try the latest mobile operating system of Apple.
You might not believe this, buy iOS 11 is probably one of the biggest updates to Apple’s mobile OS yet. If you own an iPad, then I highly recommend you to try it out now because iOS 11 is focused mainly on improving the tablet aspect of the iPad — not just a larger version of the iPhone.
There’s a lot of new features to try: there’s a revamped control center, looping live photos, support for augmented reality, P2P payments in Apple Pay, and most especially, the long-awaited file manager. If you want to know more about the new features, check our article here. Also, if you want to know some hidden features, click here.
To start downloading the public beta, just head to beta.apple.com, tap sign up, and enter your Apple ID. Once you’ve signed up for the beta program, head to beta.apple.com/profile with your iOS device to download and install the configuration profile. This will also trigger your device to look for future public betas as well.
Once you’ve finished downloading, go to Settings > General > Software Update, where you should see the option to download and install the iOS 11 beta.
Again, if you’re prepared to encounter some bugs and glitches, iOS 11 is a really must-have update. But be sure to backup your files or just a spare iPhone if possible to avoid any accidents.
