If you’re still playing Pokémon Go, the cult phenom of a game developed by Niantic and The Pokémon Company, we have great news for you. Three more legendaries will be available in raid battles: Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. If you’ve played in the Johto era—inarguably the franchise’s best, all those who disagree shall be unfriended and blocked—then it is likely that you know these legendaries.
Until October 30th, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will be up for raid battles in different regions worldwide. Niantic has posted the list of legendaries and their respective regions from August 31st to September 30th. The regions then swap out. Here’s the list of legendaries.
- Raikou, an electric-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Americas.
- Entei, a fire-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout Europe and Africa.
- Suicune, a water-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
This is of course in part of Niantic and The Pokémon Company’s ongoing efforts of wooing you into playing the game again. They recently introduced a new game feature called “raid battles” in which players can battle a Pokémon together. Niantic also announced that it’s testing EX Raid Battles, which sounds like a different kind of raid battles with rarer Pokémon. Invites to EX Raid Battles are sent to select players and will go out September 6th.
