Unless you own a Pixel phone, you might be feeling a little in the dark as to when software updates are coming to you. It’s a pretty grueling feeling, I know. Take it from the writer whose year-old flagship is already two Android iterations behind. (To those who are wondering, I’m running a Huawei P9 Plus that’s for some reason stuck in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.)

On this post, we’ll share with you our full list of Android Oreo update schedules in the Philippines.

Google Pixel / Nexus Android Oreo 8.0 Update

Google will naturally get the fastest and most secure Android updates. Here are the phones that have, at the time of this writing, gotten the Android Oreo update.

Samsung Android Oreo 8.0 Update

Samsung hasn’t built its reputation with speedy Android updates. Much of this has to do with the scale of the company’s operations. However, we’re pretty certain that the new Galaxy S8 and S8+, and its most recent, hottest release, the Galaxy Note 8. We’re also expecting Galaxy S7 and S7 edge to get the Oreo update.

Give or take, compatible Samsung devices will get Android 8.0 after 5 to 6 months.

LG Android Oreo 8.0 Update

The new LG G6 and LG V20 are likely to get Android Oreo. Based on LG’s track record, it looks like we’re looking at two and a half months to three months after Android 8.0 arrives.

Huawei Android Oreo 8.0 Update

Huawei has yet to release its upcoming flagship, Mate 10. And if we’re to take from Huawei’s history of flagships, it looks like Mate 10 will ship with the latest Android version. Huawei also revealed that the Honor 8 Pro and 6X. We also expect Honor 9 to get Android Oreo, but there isn’t anything to back that up yet.

HTC Android Oreo 8.0 Update

HTC looks like it’s going to get fast update rollouts from Google, seeing that it has been bought by the tech giant. HTC confirmed that HTC U11, HTC 10, and HTC U Ultra will all get the update, but when is something that the company is yet to clear up.

OnePlus Android Oreo 8.0 Update

OnePlus confirmed that Oreo is coming to both OnePlus and OnePlus 3T. Of course, it’s very likely that the company’s current flagship, the OnePlus 5, will get the update.

Motorola Android Oreo 8.0 Update

Motorola promised that the Android Oreo 8.0 update for the following phones will come in Q4 of 2017.

Sony Android Oreo 8.0 Update

Sony had announced that the following phones will receive the update to Android 8.0 for the following phones on August 31. If you’re running a Sony device, and have yet to check your phone’s updater, now’s a good time to do so.

Essential Phone Android Oreo 8.0 Update

It’s highly likely that Andy Rubin’s debut smartphone, the Essential Phone, will get an Android O update. In a Reddit Q&A this month, Rubin’s mobile startup reassured its fans that they’re getting timely updates. “We’ll be releasing our kernel and factory images in the next few days,” said an engineer. “Android O will be coming in the next month or two.”

We expect Essential to get the Oreo update sometime this year.
