Niantic wants you to play Pokemon GO again with huge update

Finally, the moment ex-Pokemon GO players are waiting for — A huge huge update for the game. Developer Niantic has announced that a total of 80 new Pokemon from the second generation of games will begin to appear in the mobile game, along with several other new features that will almost make you play it again. Check out the update video below:

Johto Pokemon, from the starter trio of Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile and beyond will now appear in the wild. To make it even more exciting, Pokemon Go will also receive new evolutionary items and berries. The evolutionary items will help players complete their Johto collection as some Pokemons will only evolve via these items. As for the berries, it make battles feel a little bit more challenging rather than swiping wildly to win.

The Nanab Berry and Pinap Berry are the two named berry items that will be available for use. The Nanab Berry will slow wild Pokemon down so it’s less likely for them to escape, while the Pinap Berry will help players collect twice as much candy upon a successful catch.

Also, Pokemon Go will also up their game in their customization options and it will be available for purchase. These will ensure trainers that they will be able to further customize their looks. Now, not everyone will have to walk around wearing the same outfit. Not that it matters, because you won’t be able to see other trainers in the first place.

Although we didn’t get the long-awaited multiplayer and trading features. We’re sure that the game is worth checking out again.
