Emma Watson reacted to all that’s happening by telling Reuters, “Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it. It’s very confusing.” She also said that she enjoyed the shoot and the art and concept behind all of it.

The commotion heightened after radio presenter and journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer tweeted about Emma Watson’s latest shoot with Vanity Fair after seeing this article by The Sun.

She even called Watson a hypocrite for sexualizing herself while being a feminist

She quickly received backlash from people saying women should be allowed to express their bodies whatever way they want, with Hartley-Brewer agreeing yet still attacking the Harry Potter co-star for her actions.

The broadcaster also dismissed some tweets like these by saying that they’ve completely misunderstood the point of her first tweet.
