Twitter is on a mission to make the most out of your 140 characters. Starting today, @usernames won’t count towards your characters when you are going to reply.

Together with that, Twitter is also implementing so nice and pleasing-to-the-eye visual changes. This includes the person you’re replying to now shows up above the tweet text, which makes the presentation more minimal and cleaner.

What’s more is that you can now specify who you exactly you’re replying to when there are many users mention or you’re in a group conversation. All you have to do is tap the names next to “Replying to…” and pick the exact people you want to address your very important tweet to.

While there are a number of users who have already seen this update this past few days, the update is now beginning to roll globally. So check out the app store if it’s already available to you right now.
