Google Play Store Highlights Indie Games In New “Indie Corner”

In a bid to push smaller, independent game titles to its gamers, the Google Play Store adds a new section called Indie Corner.

You’ve got yet another reason to visit the Google Play Store. It now has a new section called “indie corner”, where smaller, lesser-known but great games are given their proper highlight. This is a pretty cool gesture, showing that Google is serious about supporting indie game developers.

The new section features some of the best (free and paid) indie game titles available in the Android ecosystem. It will be accessible inside the Play Store, where users will be greeted by three groups of apps: one for new highlights, another for the editors’ picks, and another called “indie masterpieces”, games that, presumably, are must-plays. Among said masterpieces are Reigns, LIMBO, and BADLANDS. So far, the list is pretty accurate.
