Ah, the good ol’ days of Overwatch. When robots tried to take over London and our heroes try to take it back.
Overwatch’s new event is dubbed as “Uprising” and it adds a much-needed PvE game mode (Just like the Junkenstein’s Revenge Halloween Event las year). It is Tracer’s first ever mission as an Overwatch operative and Blizzard describes this with:
“Journey seven years into the past and join a group of Overwatch agents fighting through the streets of King’s Row to quell an uprising led by Null Sector, a rogue group of omnics. Team up with your friends and play as Tracer, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, or Mercy to defeat the robots and liberate the city. There are no reinforcements. Failure is not an option. The future depends on you.”

Obviously, Jeff Kaplan listened to the community as he said that there are two version of the new game mode wherein you get to play the intended version or a version wherein you can play any hero that you want. He said “We heard after the Halloween event that a lot of people wanted to play with any hero they wanted. So we’re giving you sort of two versions: the intended version, but also the super fun play-whoever-you-want-version.”
The even also adds over 100 new cosmetic items. These include the classic Overwatch uniform skins found on the video above and the anticipated Blackwatch Genji skin. Hell yeah, Blizzard! Now everyone will be a Genji-main.
The Uprising event will start today until May 1. So grind your ass up and get those juicy skins.
