Remember the old Starcraft? One of the games that made our childhood complete? Well, we have good news for you! Nearly two decades after its 1998 release, StarCraft is now free! Legally, of course.
Blizzard, the company that made the nostalgic game, just released the original game — together with the Brood War expansion — for free for both PC and Mac systems. Before it was made free, the game and the expansion pack costed for about 10 – 15 US dollars.
Blizzard also stated that they have used this opportunity to improve the game’s anti-cheat system, improved the compatibility with newer operating systems, and fix some old bugs.
This is in preparation for the upcoming remastered version of StarCraft: Brood War slated this summer.
