Marvel's 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Unveils Soundtrack ListingMeredith Quill’s bequeathment “mixtapes” to Peter (a.k.a. Star-Lord) are part of the reason why Guardians of the Galaxy works. The 2014 superhero sleeper takes much of its distinct atmosphere from its cheery, catchy soundtrack, which ultimately became a huge success of its own.

For the second iteration tied with the upcoming sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, writer-director James Gunn is able to add more familiar titles including a Fleetwood Mac (“The Chain”) and an E.L.O. (Electronic Light Orchestra) (“Mr. Blue Sky”) among others. There are, of course, some lesser known tracks that made the cut, including Jay & The Americans’ “Come A Little Bit Closer”.
