Considering it is Frank Ocean’s first album in four years post-Channel Orange in 2012, blonde was something of an event. The wait, to say the least, was worth it, as the album released to rapturous acclaim. That says a lot, considering that the album was a surprise release and one so deglamorized so as to keep a Beyonce feature a secret.

Frank has been creating beautiful hip-hop music under his collective, Odd Future, with Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt, since 2009. Although, it pushes one to wonder how Frank should follow up on the successful album.
Over the last few weeks, though, it seems Frank Ocean has gotten it figured out. Of course, there’s “Slide”, a dance-hip-hop collab with Calvin Harris and Young Thug. “Chanel”, a true bopper with vivid lyrics that make up something of a confessional juicier than anything Frank has ever let on. Finally, “Biking”, a transporting rumination in life (when you ruminate, you want to ruminate with Frank’s voice crooning in the background) featuring Jay-Z and Tyler the Creator.
On the fourth episode of his blonded RADIO show this Saturday, Frank Ocean debuted a new song called “Lens”, a bare and mellow track that highlights Frank’s gorgeous vocals. Listen to the track, in full, below:
