Donald Glover is a force. Anyone who’s listened to his music knows this, and so does everyone who’s seen him in the projects he’s involved in.
There is no stopping the rapper, singer, comic, actor, and writer. According to THR, Glover is developing a Deadpool animated series on FXX with his brother, Stephen. Glover has already set up a writer’s room in London, where he’s filming the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars ripoff movie where he plays a young Lando Calrissian.
There is no question whether Glover is capable of shipping an entire television series. He has done it with tremendous aplomb in his FX series, Atlanta. “Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta,” said FX president of original programming Nick Grad. “With the success of Legion, we’re looking forward to again partnering with Marvel Television to create a series that is bold, striking and entirely original.”
The 10-episode animated Deadpool series is eyeing to launch sometime in 2018.
