With making their platform more useful for brands in terms of customer service and engagement, Twitter is beefing up their Direct Messages.
Now, businesses have the option to add action buttons to direct messages. These let customers easily do something: like follow and account, visit a website, or even tweet something about it.
But that’s not all. There’s also a button that can start a direct message conversation with another account in case you have multiple accounts or separate account for customer services.
Currently, the brand can have three buttons to attach to a message. The text for each button is fully customizable and will have the usual emoji support. The Links can also redirect to anywhere and will open inside the app’s own browser.
You can expect this feature to start rolling out today. It will be seen on both the iOS and Android app, as well as through the desktop web client.
