E3 2017 has finally ended. We certainly got a rain of game announcements from EA, Microsoft, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Sony and Nintendo. And with so many game companies releasing their games, it’s up to us to sort through the rubble and find the games that you should be excited about. Let’s start:
The Evil Within 2
The Evil Within 2 is a third-person psychological survival horror video game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game was directed by Resident Evil series creator, Shinji Mikami, and was released worldwide back in October 2014.
The Evil Within 2 is more relatable to Silent Hill than Resident Evil because it’s a game that is inclined to be more twisted, a psychological horror game that uses the characters inner fears and insecurities as its premise.
The game is set to be released on October 13, 2017.
Assassin’s Creed Origins
Is an upcoming action-adventure stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and was published by Ubisoft. It is the tenth major installment in the series and is the successor to 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Origins will have an Egyptian setting and the game company stated that they are bringing their series back to the roots and away from the increasingly modern setting of recent entries. There have been precious few games set in this iconic era of history and we can’t wait to scale its Pyramids and towering statues.
It is set to be released worldwide on October 27, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Mario + the Rabbids Kingdom Battle
The game that we never knew we wanted. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is an upcoming turn-based tactical role-playing video game developed and published by Ubisoft. It is a crossover of Nintendo’s Mario and Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids franchises and is set for release worldwide in August 2017.
It does look brilliant. The narrative premise of the game sees the Rabbids transported to the Mushroom Kingdom where they team up with Nintendo favorites Mario, Luigi, and Peach.
Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus
Wolfenstein is an action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is set in an alternate history 1960s Europe where the Nazis won the Second World War.
Beyond its eccentric narrative, however, a big part of what made Machine Games first Wolfenstein such a joy to play was its tight first person gunplay.
Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus is scheduled for release on October 27, 2017.
Anthem is an upcoming action role-playing video game being developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. The player will assume the role of a Freelance, one of a group and bold and courageous people who leave their civilization to explore a lush and dangerous landscape.
Certainly, this game was one of the most exciting moments of this year’s E3. Anthem looked visually stunning; a dense and alien looking jungle environment that one can freely traverse in a rocket-propelled suit? Hell yes! Combat also looked promising, enjoying strategy and team coordination beyond just its super cool array of weaponry.
It is slated for Q4 2018 release.
