This Free Chrome Extension Gets Rid Of ‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers

Afraid of ‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers? Worry Not.

This free Chrome extension is for you, Crownlanders.

We’ve proven time and again that the internet is dark and full of spoilers. Too many friendships have been challenged by eager Game Of Thrones fans who go overboard in posting details about the episodes. Well, those days are over. At least to the lot of us Chrome users.

A free Chrome extension called Game of Spoils is available to download in the browser’s repository of extensions. What it does is, like a nifty ol’ Adblock, it prevents Game Of Thrones-connected content from appearing on any page. It works on a multitude of sites, including Facebook, Google News, and other publications that talk about the show.

The extension effectively scans through the page’s content and blocks out any content/post that mentions GoT-related things. When a Facebook post, for example, mentions the word “Westeros”, the extension blacks it out so you can’t see it, exchanging it for a promise, reassuring you that the spoiler has been vanquished in a trial by combat.

There’s also the option of hiding the spoilers altogether instead of blacking them out; users can also add specific phrases for the extension to detect. Worry not, Crownlander, the days of spoiling is over.

Download Game Of Spoils here. It must be noted that this extension doesn’t stop the winter, nor does it can. Winter, after all, is here.
